Celebrating the 12th Cambodia Autism Day 2025 under the theme: Promoting Neurodiversity and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on April 2, 2025 with the participation of the presiding Bishop Tep Chanpiseth, Bishop of the Catholic Parish of Battambang and Director of Karuna Battambang Organization, Dr. Chan Daweung, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, Mr. Chanchum, Minister of the Department of Social Affairs, Ms. Goodwill, Representative of the Koma MeKong Organization, Mr. Yos Yeun, Mayor of Rattanak Commune, Mr. Tum Chhiet, Executive Director of the Karuna Battambang Organization. There were also 30 autistic children, 10 parents from 4 provinces including Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, Kandal, and Kampong Chhnang, and more than 100 distinguished guests. This program was organized by the Disability Empowerment Project, abbreviated as “Sam Project”, of Karuna Battambang Organization, in collaboration with Mekong Children Organization.
