On July 27-28, 2024, the community of Sangkha Rukhavan Protected Area, located in Thmey Village, Trapeang Tao Commune, Anlong Veng District, Oddar Meanchey Province, with Venerable Tho Thou Ros as the Community President, organized a tree planting program under the theme: “Together Establish forest cover to reduce climate change. ”5,000 saplings to be planted and 500 district palm trees to be planted on 5 hectares of land. The event was attended and invited by His Excellency, Presidium, Departments, Institutions around the province, authorities at all levels, monks, devotees, indigenous peoples, youth, teachers, students and philanthropists from more than 1,100 people from near and far. Also present were the Diocese of Battambang and the Jesuit Service of Cambodia, with Father Priyadia Gregorio (Grece) as the youth leader from Battambang Tahen and Svay Sisophon.
